BODYWORK

BODYWORK

Everything is made of energy and vibration. Energy therapies help to restore the healthy balance of the energy field by clearing blockages and addressing imbalances.

Energy healing is found to be a beneficial tool for pain management, stress management, depression and anxiety, as well as to achieve mental clarity, relaxation, spiritual growth, and an enhanced sense of inner peace, connection and well-being.

Energy Work helps to release unwanted patterns and energies; improves immunity; aids in recovery from surgery, chronic or acute illness/pain; and brings support during times of transition. It can also connect people to their life purpose; facilitate deep healing from abuse, trauma, and neglect or grief; and has been shown to minimize the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is "spiritually guided life force energy." Reiki energy is a subtle energy.

Reiki energy flows from the practitioner's hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions around the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Other, more specific positions may be used based on the clients needs. Each position is held for three to ten minutes depending on how much Reiki the client needs at each position.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement. It works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

THAI MASSAGE

Thai massage is a healing system that combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines and assisted yoga postures.

During a treatment the recipient remains clothed. There is constant body contact between the practitioner and client, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a dance of movement on the body of the recipient. In this process, joints are opened, muscles and tendons are stretched, internal organs are toned, and energy is balanced. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental well-being. Based on healing principles similar to those of other Eastern healing arts, the Thai system focuses on circulation of vital energy in major pathways called sen. Energy lines are manipulated, and important pressure points along these pathways are stimulated to help break down blockages, stimulate energy flow and restore balance and harmony.

The result of a full-body Thai treatment is often a powerful mind/body healing experience, bringing heightened states of physical and spiritual well-being.
